JAKE

JAKE

We adopted Jake (formerly Jigaloo - left) in September and wanted to let you know he is doing great. After an initial adjustment period (it turns out he does like to chase kitties!), he is settling in very well. He and our dog Riley love each other and play together all the time. Jake has also decided he likes the good life - he’s taken over our family room sofa as his personal domain! He is a sweet boy and we love him. Thanks for taking care of him until he found the right home.

ZELDA

ZELDA

Hello all -
I can’t believe that it’s been 9 months since you introduced me to my new family. The time has just flown and every moment has been so much fun with them. My name is Zelda but you knew me briefly as Penelope. I am now 19 months old and my mommy and daddy say that I am growing up nicely. I love everyone and everything and throw my 65 pounds of that joy into everything I do. My mommy or daddy take me running almost every weekday morning for several miles and even more miles each day on the weekends. We sneak onto the beach sometimes and run around, especially if I find another dog friend to play with. I get big juicy bones almost everyday… something about keeping me from chewing on other things that I shouldn’t. My mommy and daddy went away for a few days around the holidays and one of their friends stayed with me and he had a dog. We had so much fun playing all day long!
Thank you so much for allowing me into their lives.
Regards,
Zelda (and Lindsey and Yvon)

CHARLOTTE

CHARLOTTE

We adopted Charlotte in May 2006, and she has turned out to be the best dog. She is soooo sweet and loving. She loves everybody and all the other dogs and cats she meets. She recently got a brother - Junior. They just love each other and are very good companions. Thanks for our dog.

DIXIE

DIXIE

Hi !
We just thought we’d drop you a note to let you know that we ADORE Dixie! She is the perfect addition to our family. She is such a loving, sweet doggie - completely irresistible! We keep thinking she’s “too good to be true”, but she truly is just a dream. She is also a great companion for Cooper. The first week she was with us she slept a LOT. I think that it was difficult to adapt to the new surroundings. However, she had no problem finding her favorite spot on the sofa. We go on walks every day, and we’re working on going further distances each day to get her into shape! As it turns out, she’s not exactly house trained, but we’re working on that using the tips we were given at the pre-adoption training. We had 18 guests for Thanksgiving, and she was GREAT with everyone, including the kids. She has such a wonderful, friendly temperament, and we just love her. She is also very funny - she lays in the most uncomfortable looking positions.

Thanks for helping us find Dixie - we are really just overjoyed to welcome her into our family! You are a wonderful organization and I’ll be referring you to all of my friends and family.
Sincerely,
Jeannine & Frank Clark

FRISKY & SAMANTHA

FRISKY & SAMANTHA

Greetings to all at the GHS,
Please find attached some pics of my wonderful cats I adopted from the Glendale Center back around July of ’05. They are doing well in my new home in Wrightwood, California. The grey & white was Cossette, now Frisky. The black & white was Violet, now Samantha.
