Apollo’s Story

Apollo

Apollo’s parents received the news no one wants to hear,” Your dog has cancer”.

Even more devastating, his prognosis was dire. The surgeon removed the tumor and though he removed all of the visible cancer, Apollo was given only nine months at tops to survive.

Apollo is a happy boy. To meet him today, he would appear to be the picture of health. Apollo is a fighter and fortunately for him, so are his parents. Not willing to give up they contacted a veterinarian who practices integrative medicine.

Apollo is currently having treatment for his cancer. The procedures are non-invasive. He will be one of the first to receive this treatment at the clinic and we are all sending good thoughts and prayers that Apollo will be granted more time with his family.

Glendale Humane Society is about helping local pet parents get the medical help their companion animal needs. Not being able to afford a procedure to help a loved one is a cruel reality for many pet parents. We are working with local veterinarian hospitals/clinics to help those pet parents who need assistance to give their pet medical help or even to give the pet a respectful ending to their beautiful life.

Your donation helps us give this assistance. Please join us in holding good thoughts for Apollo. We will follow his recovery and keep you informed. His happy smile is heartwarming. May his parents enjoy it for years to come.
