Luna’s Story

Luna

Hello friends of Glendale Humane. We hope this finds you well and taking the time to enjoy the lovely Spring weather. This is a joyful time of year when we have plants blooming with riots of color and sunshine spreading its promise of warmth.

We have been busy working with local veterinarians to help pet owners, unable to afford medical care, get their companion animal’s needed procedures. We are honored to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of all concerned. Glendale Humane has always been an advocate for the health and emotional wellbeing of our pets. We continue on that journey.

This is the story of lovely Luna. She is a seven-year-old Pitbull. Her mom, Sara, is a single mother of two children and Luna. Luna is a treasured family member –well-loved and loyal. Sara was recently involved in a car accident and lost her car. Money for the family already tight, became a greater issue.

Sara noticed Luna had strange growths on her gums. They became quite large and were impacting her ability to eat and to live comfortably. She reached out to her veterinarian and they contacted us. Luna needed lab work, surgery, and biopsies of the tumors once removed.

We were so pleased to be able to help Luna’s family. Surgery was scheduled for Luna. She came through with flying colors and went home eating soft foods. Thankfully, the biopsies came back benign. She’s a happy girl once again.

GHS wants to thank you for helping to make this happen for Luna and her family. We could not do this without your generous donations. We will continue to share our happy tales with you. We hope this brought a smile to your face and warmed your heart.
