Davidson’s Story

Davidson

If ever you wondered if your donation made a difference here is a story that will make your heart swell with pride. We received a letter from a woman looking to find assistance foe her son’s dog, Davidson. Davidson, a French Bulldog, had been purchased from a breeder. He was mature, a desirable feature for the family. However, the breeder failed to mention Davidson’s chronic ear infections.

Davidson quickly became eight-year-old Reese’s best friend and valued therapy dog. He helped her focus and calmed her when needed. Davidson was all they hoped for and more.

His ear infections became increasingly worse and he seemed to be in pain. The vet sent them to a specialist who wanted to do surgery that would cost the family $7000 -$9000 they did not have. Something needed to be done for sweet Davidson before the infection entered his brain and killed him.

We contacted our vet and explained the situation. They immediately brought Davidson in for a consultation and determined the surgery could be done there. On July 8, 2021 Davidson had his surgery. He is back home but returning to the vet for bandage changes and follow-up treatment.

We could not do this without your help. Thank you for helping Davidson and Reese. Together we have made one little dog’s life pain-free. We have made one little girl very happy.
